The Falcons gained valuable depth by agreeing to terms with veteran safety Chris Hope.
Hope was drafted in the third round of the 2002 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a member of the 2005 Steelers team that won Super Bowl XL. Following the 2005 season, Hope was signed as a free agent by the Tennessee Titans.
In Hope’s 10-year NFL career, he has notched 758 tackles to go along with 20 interceptions and four sacks. In 2008, Hope was selected to his first Pro Bowl.
