The Atlanta Falcons’ wide receiver duo of Roddy White and Julio Jones sat down with NFL Network’s Michael Irvin for an interview to air today on GameDay Morning.
Irvin asked if the two receivers are a better duo than the New York Giants’ duo of Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz.
“Victor Cruz is a lot more of a slot receiver,” said White. “The big boys play on the outside.”
Cruz returned fire. “I couldn’t care less about what anybody else has to say,” he told The Star-Ledger on Friday. “I got a ring back home. I don’t care about what Roddy White has to say.”
If you have to immediately resort to the ring argument, you don’t have much of an argument to begin with. Furthermore, White is absolutely correct; Cruz predominately works the slot.
Perhaps Cruz should salsa his way to writing another book.
