Rise Up

In a little over four hours, the Atlanta Falcons will look to get the playoff monkey off their backs when they host the Seattle Seahawks in the divisional round.

A win would show this team is certainly capable of winning in the playoffs. It would be a slap in the face to all the naysayers who think the Falcons are a perpetually one-and-done team.

On a more personal level, a win would give Tony Gonzalez – the best tight end to ever play in the NFL – his first playoff win. In Gonzalez’s illustrious 16-year career, he has yet to win once in the five postseason games he’s played in. The tight end is 95 percent sure this is his final year, so now is the time to get it done for him.

It’s time to rise up, Atlanta. Go get it done.
